"Hi Bustin Crew !! Received my Strike yesterday !! Pretty cool board, already rode it a lot.Well, actually I did nothing else the last two days. The board looks great and I want to thank you all for making a dream come true. Can't wait for tomorrow to skate again.Gotta tell you you guys forgot to install bearing spacers in the wheels.Already installed some, also inverted the truck mounting bolts where they get close to the hanger and added washers too.Other than that the board is just awesome. The new Grizzly's are super nice and the 75mm Bustin wheels are very quiet and grip like hell. The board rolls really nice. You definitely made a happy man out of me.Thanks again Bustin Crew !!! Have a good weekend with a lotta sunshine !!"
"Setup: Black randal 180's, bones reds, lemon zigs 70mm, venom elim bushings. Hey to everybody at Bustin! I've finally broken in my new Strike, and let me say, it is the greatest!!!! I've put this thing through just about everything, from sliding to commuting, and it handles every challenge like nothing. Special thanks to the whole Bustin team, and a HUGE thanks to Matt for crafting one sick piece of longboarding goodness! Sincerely,"
"Okay...so I have had my Strike for about a month or so. After riding several other styles and brands, I have to say this is a totally different experience. Riding a longboard in the midwest (Indiana) is totally unheard of for the most part, but I have to say the Strike has made it an entirely different experience. Having few hills, and a couple great parking garages makes it a bit difficult to bomb long hills and go for long rides, but the Strike overcomes that. I totally endorse this board and tell everyone I know about BustinBoards.Com. You guys and maybe a few gals are doing a great job. Keep it up and I look forward to trying more of your boards in the future. Thanks again for the great times."
"Setup: silver randal 180s, 75 mm bocas, super reds. This board is SICK. it's technical as hell and has a pretty strong learning curve, it did for me anyway, but once you figure out how to ride it it doesn't get much better. super low to the ground and turn radius and response is tight. i'm addicted. graphic is flawless, just carrying the thing around turns heads. lots of good advice from mike dallas on it. thanks Bustin for a badass product and experience, will be back for more asap!"
"Gentlemen, I recently received my Strike Longboard, with Bear Grizzly Trucks, O’tang Durian Wheels and Bones Swiss Ceramic Bearings. I want to tell you that the Board has met all of my expectations. First, your service has been great and board was shipped early and arrived prior to the scheduled delivery date. I am in my mid-forties started skating almost 40 years ago. I have not been actively skating, however, for many years. But now my son is beginning to skate and I want to skate with him. I was not looking for a board to grind copings and ride vert’ ramps, but instead I was looking longboard to do some easy carving. I wanted something that was low to the ground (and therefore easy to push), fast and stable, with a long smooth glide; something that resembled the feeling of snowboarding. I researched many boards and I ultimately spoke with Solomon at the Bustin shop to discuss my riding style and what I was looking for. Solomon convinced me that the Strike was the board for me and helped me decide on the appropriate wheels and trucks. Well, I have been riding my Strike for nearly a month now and must say that this board is really awesome. I’m about 195 lbs and the Strike has just the right amount of flex – enough to give a bit of snap to the board, but without any twist and without any trampoline effect. And the graphics are very cool. The colors that I chose (a bright green base with orange and deep purple graphics) really make the appearance pop! Because I live in Boca Raton, Florida, most of my riding here is what you would refer to as beach riding or “cruising.” And this board really cruises… When I let the kids in the neighborhood here ride my new board they too were blown away with how fast and smooth it is. A few quick pushes and this thing takes off. It’s my understanding that the Durians with ceramic bearings really help with the quick take off and momentum / speed. My son Ethan who is seven years old loves to ride it too because the Strike setup is naturally lower to the ground and easy to push. And of course the ride is stable and smooth with a very long glide. Because the ride is so smooth and stable, Ethan has gained confidence in his skating and he is now doing beautiful layouts while cruising down the road and has even learned to hippie jump on my Strike. In fact, he loves it so much that I don’t get to ride the board much when he’s around… So, I’m now ordering him his very own Bustin Custom! He has chosen the Sojourn with Boca Wheels -- I’m just waiting on him to design his own custom by choosing the graphics and colors for his new longboard. Hmmm, it looks like longboarding is going to result in some quality “father and son” time here in Florida. Thanks for designing a great product."
" The Bustin Crew: Thank you!!! I just love my Strike and Spliff. The Spliff, I got a few weeks ago, turned out to be the most fun “pocket-rocket” I've ever ridden. I take it everywhere. I even put it into the trunk
"One of my current setups os a new bustin strike, Randal 180mm Trucks, orangatang wheels (depends on my mood--Orange 4-presidents or Purps fat frees). and some bones bearings. This setup in my mind over the other molds i've tossed around is the most responsive multi use boards i've ever road. I've been riding for years on all sizes of boards and the strike fits like a glove."
"Hey Guys! I recently purchased a strike with Abec11 grippins/randals/and the standard bearings from you guys. After waiting a month I was begining to worry. So the day it came I ripped open the package and WOW! This board looks sweet! But as always there's a downside to everything. It had been raining for days which ruined any chance of riding any time soon. So finally i got it out to ride and this thing is one of the nicest longboards I've ever ridden! It's so smooth, has great flex, turns great... Everything about it is top notch! DEFIANTLY a great buy. Ill be coming back for my next board. I got my eye on one of them spliffs. Thanks for the great board. Its obvious you put way more time and effort into each of your boards than some of the bigger companies. Thanks again,"
"So I just got my second Bustin board today, a Strike with Crails, and Durian wheels, and I just wanted to say that it is by far my favorite board now. It slides like a charm, and is by far one of the prettiest boards that I have seen. When I just had only my Complex people were impressed by it, but when fellow longboarders saw, and rode my strike they were sold. So I'm sure you'll be getting some business soon. Once again thanks for the great board, I look forward to seeing if you'll be putting out more decks in the future!"
"To the Crew at BUSTIN, To keep this short I got to go skate, I've ridden a lot of different boards in the past 28 years the strike I ordered is phenomenal, crazy responsive and very fast I think my son will be next to order after he rides mine .. Keep up the great work , amazing board!"
"I've had my Strike for 6 months and I freakin love it! Its low to the ground and it has almost effortless push ability. Plus, ever since I flipped my Randal II trucks the board just came alive. It carves much more dramatically. I started off w/ 76mm Gumballs and didn't like the Monster Truck handling. I'm running the Orangatang Freeride Stimulus wheels (70mm) on it now and it's like point and shoot! Super Responsive. Only thing that could be awkward for some is the narrow tail end plus little concave makes it difficult to plant your back foot when tucking for a turn/lean... Other then that.. I'm stoked every time I'm on it.. See ya at the Broadway Bomb fellas!"
"Whats up Matt, Since I emailed you last I have been able to break into the Strike's abilities more and more. The board shreds so hard carving is so smooth and the board initiates the turns like no bodies business. Slides are so easy to control and pumping, even for a shorter board, is super easy. I ride pretty much every day and no matter where I go people compliment on the graphic and how sick the construction of the board is. I just wanted to thank you once again for producing such a nasty board."
"Hey Bustin, my board came yesterday and I have not gotten off yet. It is amazing i love that board and it was so worth the wait, you guys do amazing work. I am so happy I got this board over any other board. The graphic looks so good. Five random people stopped me on the street to ask me where i got the board. It is awesome, thanks Bustin especially Matt who made the board."
"I didnt know what to expect when buying the board, i needed a freeride board but i also wanted something i could bomb a hill with. After looking around for a really long time i came across bustin's site and they all seemed like cool people after looking at their history and such. I also found out they were based in new jersey so i had a close supplier if i was satisfied with their product. So i went along and made my order and waited a few days. Upon getting it i tore it open with hesitation. The board was nicely wrapped, the paint was immaculant and awesome and everything was so freshly done, i was kind of upset with the wait for the board because they were having a sale and such but i could completely understand after seeing the detail they put into my board. Everything was placed nicely in the package nothing was stuffed and they didnt forget a thing i even got some cool stickers i put on my car and board. And i want to come up and visit their shop to see the process behind painting the boards and to possibly have a skate run with them.... Oh and their customer service which is the bustin guys themselves is awesome... Now for the ride, Its amazing its a carving monster, the board is really light and follows your feet really smooth, when turning it has a great balance so the board doesnt slide out much i kind of just lean in the turn and the board does the rest even at higher speeds. I wish i got better wheels so i could appreciate the board even more.. these are nice but they chip around the edges a little. This board also has great speed and i love how low you can lean, i havent had any wheel wobble yet, that could be due to my Randals or just this amazing board. I cant wait to hit some better hills yesterday was almost my first time really testing this baby, but i was satisfied! Im coming back for the Soujourn v2 and some of the new Orangatang Freerides."
"The strike is the best board ever it is so much better than sector 9. If you never ridin on a drop trough deck this is the board to beggin with for speed and city riding. If you are thinking about the loaded dervish think again this board will be different than any other longboard it has a kick tail for easy manuel and a curve in the nose for nose wheelies or shuvits and yes you can old school kick flip this thing its som amazing. My set up it pink randals to support the people who have breast cancer, big zigs 75mm 83a lemon(yellow) with super swiss six barings. If you go with wheels go with otangs, retro big zigs or abec 11.The wheels will breaqk in and eventually slide when you want to on those sharp ass turns. If you go with bustin boards its your custome board than any otherboarded your desighn and yes like any other boared will be the sam and with any boarde the graffoc will eventually get scratch or scuft but that a board and dont worry you can always desighn another later on in your longboard life!."
"After riding my strike for a few days, I have decided that it is the Loaded Dervish killer. One review I read said that it wasn't responsive. They seem to be talking about the Strike's unique geometry. There is an apparent threshold of pressure that can be applied to one side of the board when making high speed turns versus carving turns. This gives the strike a unique sense of versatility. It's difficult to put into words, but at high speeds, the board will not be as sensitive as a regular board while it gains sensitivity at low speeds. The Strike is also the most comfortable commuter board I have ever ridden. The drop deck/ drop through design really lowers the board, making pushing into less work. The forward camber absorbs shock for your front foot while pushing. The maximum camber at the front also increases control while pushing and riding. The only disadvantage as a bombing/carving board is that it is relatively narrow. If it were much wider, it might touch the ground because of how low it is. Thankfully, the narrow deck allows the board to be stored in my locker. If I were going to take only one board only to college, the Strike would be it. I ride my strike with flipped Randal 180s, black panters ceramics, sector 9 goddess of speed wheels in 76mm 78a. The bustin wheels are better for commuting because they lower the board to the ground even more, but if you're riding on Illinois roads like I am, you might want something that will roll over poor construction more easily."
"Dude this board is so incredibly sick it’s not even funny. The graphic is so well done and so clean I love it so much. The response is ridiculous and it handles so well. I am SUPER satisfied with the purchase. Thanks so much and you best believe I’ll be repping Bustin Boards all day. I’ll catch you later bro, thanks again."
"Hi Matt, Thank you SO MUCH for all of your help the board came out great and you were write the design really pops against the wood grain. My boyfriend was beyond ecstatic and can't wait to get out there once the slush clears! I will recommend you to anyone that ever asks me about longboards! Have a great year."
"I have the black SE strike with paris 180's and inHeats with swiss, i love it, but I've eatin #### a couple time from accidentally stepping on the wheels. I also cut up some shock pads and put them on, it rides ALLOT smoother and it helps protect the board since the trucks don't sit flat against the deck. If only i had some grizzlys :/ then i could bomb that b_tch hill that everyone down here calls suicide hill. In the words of the guys at bustin boards, cheers."
"The Srike Is AMAZING!!!"
"I just have to say that the boys at Bustin are top notch from customer service to product. I got my Strike really fast even after waiting on their Randal shipment. My first ride was a four mile push race. A little bit of flex, the signature Bustin curves, and the drop-thru design it's a breeze to push. The Strike deck, Randal RII's and Bustin's BOCA wheel are a great combination for any all around riding, great grip and great speed. All in all I'm stoked with my Strike and everything about Bustin."
"Thanks for the board man, rides so smooth, like a cloud haha. Thanks man."
